Mara Dyer doesn't think life can get any stranger than waking up in a hospital with no memory of how she got there.
It can.
She believes there must be more to the accident she can't remember that killed her friends and left her mysteriously unharmed.
There is.
She doesn't believe that after everything she's been through, she can fall in love.
She's wrong.

I purchased The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer for myself as a birthday gift. I'd been hearing great reviews from so many readers and I figured I had to give it a shot. It sat on my bookshelf for a month before I picked it up. Part of me is wishing I would've saved this excellence for a later time and part of me is mad that I didn't start it sooner.

Mara Dyer suffers from hallucinations after being the sole survivor of a building collapse. Losing her best friend, Rachel, Mara begins to slowly lose herself. Convinced she's going crazy Mara embarks on a journey to revisit the memories she's trying very hard to forget.

The best books are those that elicit emotions from their pages. These emotions can be happy and upsetting. Mara Dyer's pages bleed with emotion, while not all is sad, not all is happy either. I loved the whole book, front to back, and will definitely be rereading it! Can't wait until book 2!!!
